For the first year students the end-of-term film screening tradition, famously known as ‘Oscar Night’, was recently staged at the Roxy Bar and Screen, near to London Bridge. A series of ten one-minute films conceived, directed and performed in glorious technicolour was the entertaining culmination of creative moving image work.
A news update that is testimony to the fact that 15 minutes of fame really can tart with 10 seconds of creative success.
At the SKY ARTS awards event evening there were 6 runners up from all the national entries with no less than 5 from Chelsea Graphic Design Communication stage 3: Jed Cullen, Christina Donellan, Joe Joiner, Jack Sharples, Sara Williams
…and the overall winner is Vanessa McKeown for her 10 second ident film ‘Bravo’.
All the finalists movies will be aired live on SKY throughout the summer.

SKY are now embarking on an extensive press and broadcast campaign to promote the awards and airing the work.
